TresDuo ("we", "us", "our") operates a social platform that matches three couples for shared dinner experiences. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using TresDuo, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of personal information:

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and password
  • Profile information: profile photo, city/region, and relationship status
  • Personality & preferences: responses to personality questions, life stage questions, and dining preference questions (dietary needs, budget tier, adventurousness)
  • Payment information: processed securely through Stripe — we do not store credit card numbers
  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, and interaction timestamps
  • Device data: browser type, operating system, and IP address

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Match you with compatible couples for dinner events
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Send transactional emails and SMS (verification, dinner notifications, venue details)
  • Improve our matching algorithm and service quality
  • Communicate service updates and respond to support requests
  • Enforce our Terms of Service and protect against misuse

4. Information Sharing

With other users: Before a dinner, matched couples can see only each other's first names. Last names, profile photos, email addresses, phone numbers, and other contact information are never shared with other users before the event.

With service providers: We share limited information with trusted third parties that help us operate our service:

  • Firebase (authentication)
  • Stripe (payment processing)
  • Resend (transactional email)
  • Twilio (SMS verification and notifications)
  • Google Cloud (hosting and photo storage)

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers hosted on Google Cloud Platform. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information. Profile photos are stored in Google Cloud Storage with time-limited signed URLs. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., payment records for tax compliance). Personality and dining preference answers are deleted immediately upon account deletion.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Update your profile and account information at any time
  • Delete your account and associated data by contacting us
  • Opt out of non-essential communications
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format

8. Cookies & Tracking

TresDuo uses essential cookies and local storage for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Firebase Authentication uses cookies to maintain your signed-in session.

9. Children's Privacy

TresDuo is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that we have collected data from a user under 18, we will delete that information promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the service. Your continued use of TresDuo after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
